FMP Test Images
Double page spread titled 'unknown'. This spread is based on how homosexual inmates were often mistreated, killed or simply misplaced through the years. To date there are still no complete list of all the victims of the Concentration Camps, this includes the homosexual inmates.

FMP Test Images
Pulling together the historical facts to create my final design. I have chosen to use a purple/pink colour to represent the pink triangle for two several reasons; a: I dont like pink ( selfish i know, but it is my final major project) b: 'baby' or 'barby' pink would give the imagery a almost cheap look c: my project is about human suffering, torture, killing, blood! the purple/pink colour signifies the joining of the pink triangle and the colour of blood....... plus it looks nicer :)
I have used the typewriter font as it signifies the era of the imagery. These will be double spreads, imagery based stylized pages on the right & information simple style pages on the left. Using a mixture of english & german text gives the image another dimention.
This piece is entitled 'practice' because of the way homosexual inmates were used as target practice, other classes of inmates, although also treated bad, were never used for target practice.
FMP Concept
Animation Work
My finished piece that i am working towards is going to be a printed book with several double page spreads each documenting the treatment of homosexual inmates. A wanted to experiment with a bit of animation just to see if it brought anything new to the table. It is very basic & based upon one of my book spreads 'medical' which is about the medical experiments preformed on homosexual inmates in particular, mainly to try & 'convert' them back to being 'straight'.
FMP Inspiration
Because of the period i am looking at studying (1933-1945) the obvious choices for inspiration would be Bauhaus & the Swiss Style. This is a piece by Brockmann that i particularly like & have chosen to take inspiration from. As I am dealing with the past & historical facts I am creating all my imagery in a very basic black & white style with a funky/modern twist to reflect this.

Test sample for FMP
Piecing together elements from each year to form a single image to capture the treatment of the homosexual population. Been working in a Brockmann style, which is who i have been researching. I want to create a simple/classic look that has a obvious Swiss style approach but with a personal touch, through my own design and the introduction of historical facts.
